Kempley Barns has two beautifully renovated stone cottages with holiday accommodation for up to 14 in a private valley with 50 acres of meadows, orchards and streams on the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire border - a 5-star, rose-award base for a holiday close to the Malvern Hills, Forest of Dean, Wye Valley and cathedral cities of Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester.
The barns are fitted to the highest five star standards with under-floor heating, gourmet oak kitchens with granite surfaces and luxurious slate bathrooms. Spacious vaulted living and dining areas combined with comfortable bedrooms complete with Egyptian cotton linen, towels and robes.
Choose from the Great Barn and the Granary,which sleep 6 & 8 respectively. Both holiday properties offer the same level of comfort and sophisticated country style. Larger groups of up to 14 can book both barns together (comprising The Courtyard) to have a perfect, secluded venue for a reunion, celebration or function.
The barn interiors have an eclectic mix of old and new,combining the tactile comfort of leather, linen, wood and stone. Living close to nature, blurring the boundaries between the inside and out, offering the perfect antidote to the stresses of city life. Take a dip in the indoor heated pool, picnic under the oak tree beside the lily ponds or dine al fresco.
Pamper yourself in our heated limestone clad pool contained within an oak framed building with walls of glass and open panoramic views across the ridge line.
Take breakfast poolside. Watch the sunrise, the storm clouds gather or gaze at the stars.
The fully heated indoor pool is available for use by guests, free of charge – we even give you some dressing gowns so you can sashay across with style!

"This is a really great place to stay. We used it for a family reunion over Easter. The Barns have been beautifully converted and are very comfortable. Outside there is lots to do and a paradise for children. Indoor swimming pool; small playground; playbarn with large trampoline, table tennis, badminton, snooker and even a cricket net; large pond with a couple of boats (the children particularly liked playing around with these to look at the wildlife in the ponds); wendy house; hammock; ropes to swing across the stream. Barbecues available and a fire pit."

"6 grandchildren and their parents stay again at Kempley and they still love it! The pool a huge success as was the Playbarn, trampoline, snooker, badminton, basketball, rowing machine and an armchair for an exhausted adult! Lots of fresh air and freedom to roam. All this with Newbridge Farm Park, Hampton Court Castle, Forest of Dean close by for those who wanted to cycle and Ledbury shops for the two that didn't! The last question youngest grandson asked me before leaving was 'When can we comeback to Kempley Barns?'"

"After a great holiday last year at Kempley, I booked again for our family of 13.( 8 adults and 5 children btwn ages 10-2 years.) Bob and Pet are lovely hosts. The accommodation ( Great Barn and the Granary) & the swimming pool are great- and the play barn is such an asset ( particularly on the 1 day of rain.) The children loved the gentle spaniels ( which are not allowed in the accommodation). The welcome packs are fab- and kids collecting daily fresh eggs from the hens. Thank you Bob and Petula."
